Australia and Colombia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Cooperation in the oil and gas sector that will help enhance business ties between both countries.

Minister for Resources, Energy and Northern Australia, Josh Frydenberg, signed the MOU in Melbourne on 22 January and Colombia’s Mining and Energy Minister, Tomas Gonzalez, signed a week later in Bogota.

SUT Melbourne will be presenting a documentary film, created by Bibby Offshore, on the successful rescue of a diver who became detached from his umbilical and was stranded on the seabed.  The screening will be followed by a Q&A panel discussion, with diving and ROV experts, and networking drinks.

OMV New Zealand recently announced a Maari Joint Venture project to undertake a further refurbishment on the mooring system of the field's floating production station, the Raroa.
