Prof. Andrew Potts founded Australian Marine and Offshore Group, now trading as AMOG, in 1992. He is an Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of AMOG Holdings Pty Ltd. Dr. Potts is extensively involved in the offshore oil and gas sector in projects relating to hydrodynamic loading and response of fixed and floating offshore structures and ships, submarine pipelines or highly flexible systems such as moorings or flexible risers. This work involves advanced numerical and finite element analyses, and ranges from development of design criteria and concept engineering, through to detailed design of various aspects of facilities, structures, operations and installations. Because of his specialised skill-set, Prof. Potts is often engaged to provide specialist advice in legal cases, project management, specification development, tender evaluation, contract negotiation and assessment of contract deliverables. In 2016, he was appointed as a Professor of Practice by Monash University, an honorary appointment in recognition of his contributions to the engineering profession and association with the university. Prof. Potts is an authority on steel wire ropes and fibre rope systems used in marine applications.

Prior to this, Dr. Gumley held a number of senior management roles. He was the CEO of the Australian Submarine Corporation, CEO of aviation software supplier, The Preston Group, and CEO of the entrepreneurial Global Lighting Technologies. In 2006, Dr. Gumley was named by The Institution of Engineers Australia as one of the 100 Most Influential Engineers in Australia.

In 2010, Dr. Gumley was made an Officer of the Order of Australia for "service to public sector management, particularly through thoughts leadership of the Defence Materiel Organisation, and the development and implementation of significant reforms in procurement and sustainment of military equipment."

She also acts in the capacity of specialist advisor and consultant for major hazard facilities and explosive ordnance risk management.

Mr. Tim Lee joined AMOG 2005 and is was 2IC of the Marine and Infrastructure group before becoming an Executive Director and Vice President of AMOG Consulting Inc in 2012. He is responsible for Civil maritime, Marine engineering, Pipeline engineering and Hydrodynamics in both the Commercial and Defence sectors. Mr. Lee has broad experience in protection of sub-sea pipelines and cables, design and analysis of heavy weather mooring systems and mooring and berthing systems for floating dock operations, design of marine inlets and outfall and design of concrete mattress protection systems for ocean outfall pipelines.

Prior to joining AMOG, Mr. Lee worked at the Department of Defence, where he gained experience in aspects of submarine manoeuvring, performing detailed analysis and modelling of emergency blowing recovery, acoustic signature management, general submarine platform mechanical engineering analysis and product assurance in support of submarine maintenance and sustainment.

Mr. Tovar joined AMOG in 2014 after some nineteen years working as an engineer and manager for oilfield services companies and general industry. As a manager, he has been a business developer for Wood Group PSN in Colombia and Estudios Tecnicos, the latter being Colombia's second largest engineering consulting company. Prior to these roles, Mr. Tovar had his own engineering consulting business for a number of years, where he provided advice in thermodynamics and marketing of capital goods such as tunnelling machines. During his time as an independent engineer, he consulted for several oilfield companies and provided advice to the services companies selling capital goods to the energy sector. While Mr. Tovar lived in the USA, he worked as a project engineer for the aggregate industry, where he directed major process plant overhauls and acquired a thorough knowledge of automation, EPC projects and process engineering.

Dr. Hayden Marcollo is a Director of AMOG Technologies (AMOG's R&D arm). With a PhD in offshore engineering, he held a postdoctoral research position at MIT, which included both physical and numerical modelling of offshore riser systems. His more recent experience includes design of floating systems including mooring and naval architecture aspects and project managing large FEED studies. Dr. Marcollo is currently the Principal technical user support provider for all SHEAR7 (riser analysis software) users.

Prior to joining AMOG, Mr Wales worked in Aberdeen, Scotland, at Subsea7 on a large range of projects including leading edge deepwater installation works in Brazil, development of large scale buoyancy systems in Norway, and subsea infrastructure. Since joining AMOG in 2006, Mr Wales has managed a diverse range of projects in the offshore sector in both Australia and South East Asia. Mr Wales was AMOG's Project Manager for the West Seno Mooring Project, winner of the 2011 Victorian Engineering Excellence Award for Infrastructure Projects over $20million.

Mr. Ross Armstrong is an Associate Director of AMOG technologies and, in 2014, was appointed AMOG Holding Pty Ltd's Corporate Services Manager. Prior to joining AMOG, he worked as an automotive mechanic, gaining practical experience that has taken him offshore and into supervisory roles within AMOG.

Mr Armstrong has amalgamated his practical experience with a solid knowledge base in engineering techniques, with skills in model testing, mechanical design, and analysis. An accomplished project manager, he has developed further specialisation in the areas of wire rope design, fatigue assessment and offshore installation procedures; managing, designing and scoping model testing program, finite element analysis, and FEED engineering analysis.

He has taken a lead in the development of AMOG's in house project and corporate management tool (APMS) and has been instrumental in maintaining AMOG's ISO compliant systems and HSE management systems for over 7 years, as the organisation's Quality and Safety Manager.
